Bethesda's Twin Lakes Clinical Services requires a Full Time Speech and Language Pathologist. We are a non-profit organization providing a variety of clinical services and supports for adults with a Development Disabilities. This position will be based out of Hamilton but travel to Niagara, Brantford, Haldimand and Norfolk communities is required.

Working to promote Bethesda's values, vision and mission statement and quality client care, the Speech and Language Pathologist will be responsible for conducting assessments, implementing intervention plans and staff training for adults with intellectual disabilities who are referred to our service, as well as community education.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech, language and augmentative communication and dysphasia evaluations
  • Conduct hearing screenings
  • Offer appropriate recommendations regarding other services needed
  • Develop and implement direct and indirect intervention plans
  • Service referral/recommendation internal/external, as appropriate
  • Develop and deliver community education as requested
  • Attend team meetings as scheduled
  • Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in the field of communications, disorders and sciences, from an accredited university
  • 2 – 3 years' experience as a Speech and Language Pathologist is required
  • Registration with the College of Speech Language Pathologists & Audiologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
  • Previous experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities is an asset
  • Sign language an asset
  • Knowledge and skills pertaining to basic computer skills and Microsoft Office
  • Safety Care and First Aid Certifications are an asset
  • Valid G license and access to a reliable vehicle is required
  • French/ English bilingualism is an asset
